Induction Ceremony | Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel, Morehouse College

Rev. Ike Legacy is excited to announce that Bishop Xavier Eikerenkoetter was inducted into the Morehouse College Board of Preachers in the Martin Luther King Jr. College of Ministers and Laity on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. EST.

The Board of Preachers honors clergy of multiple Christian and global religious traditions who exemplify personal devotion, spiritual civility, keen intellect, and a commitment to faith, bearing witness to various forms of social justice, equality, and human rights. Watch the Ceremony.

    Xavier Eikerenkoetter was honored to be a special guest speaker during the April 7th Sunday Service and enjoyed meeting everyone and signing his recently published book, Reverend Ike: An Extraordinary Life of Influence, co-written with Mark Victor Hansen.

    During the service, Xavier shared that we are individual souls whose heavenly and earthly journeys have woven an intricate pattern of Being within us. Around us is a powerful matrix of spiritual alliances that is all too often invisible to our limited senses.

    Through careful examination of his father’s biography, Xavier Eikerenkoetter explained how his father’s journey to abundance can illuminate our understanding and help unlock our unlimited potential as spiritual beings on the physical plane.

    Xavier and Annette Eikerenkoetter, Rev. Ike’s son and daughter-in-law, and Eula Eikerenkoetter, Rev. Ike’s wife, attended the opening of Spirit in the Dark at the Smithsonian Institute’s Earl W. and Amanda Stafford Center for African American Media Arts (CAAMA) gallery.

    The exhibit, featuring Reverend Ike, examines Black religious life through a selection of photographs from the Johnson Publishing Company, publisher of Ebony, Jet, and Negro Digest.
