Rev. Ike Resource Center
Join us as we celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Rev. Ike Resource Center dedicated to the legacy and life-changing contributions of Rev. Ike. The ceremony begins at 11:00 am and will feature prominent speakers, a ceremonial turning of the soil by family members and members of the board, a chorus of singers, and a West African drumming ceremony around the property to bless the land through ritual sound led by Rev. Ike's Son, Xavier Eikerenkoetter.
The new center is at the first church Rev. Ike built and where he found inspiration and callings. The building will serve as a global destination, resource, and community center that honors the historic legacy of Rev. Ike. and will contain artifacts, personal belongings, writings, recordings, and books that Rev. Ike used in his Bible studies and more that will inspire and introduce visitors to the message, the ministry, the man, and the mind known as Rev. Ike.
The event is organized by United Church in beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina, and is open to all.
